Maryssa & Kyle Wedding @ Maysonnave House, Sonoma, CA

A Beautiful Union Filled with Heart

I recently had the honor of capturing the beautiful wedding of Maryssa and Kyle, a day filled with love, emotion, and personal touches that truly reflected who they are as a couple. Set against the stunning backdrop of Depot Park next to the Maysonnave House in Sonoma, CA, this wedding was a heartfelt celebration that left everyone in attendance with cherished memories. The bride and groom even had customized gifts for their bridal parties.

One of the most touching moments of the day was Maryssa's entrance. Without her father present, her brother stepped into that significant role, walking her down the aisle with love and pride. The processional song, "I Was Made For Loving You" by Tori Kelly featuring Ed Sheeran, perfectly set the tone for this emotional moment. The connection between Maryssa and her brother was palpable, highlighting the importance of family on this special day. One of my personal favorite things about photographing weddings is all the sentimental sweet songs I am exposed to.

As the couple exchanged vows, the carefully curated details around them came to life. From the exquisite floral arrangements by Vanda Floral Design to the charming signage created by Vine Country Signs, every element was thoughtfully chosen to reflect Maryssa and Kyle's unique love story. The ambiance was warm and inviting, making the ceremony not just a formality but a celebration of their commitment.

The reception at the Maysonnave House was equally enchanting. Guests enjoyed a delicious feast, savoring every bite while mingling and reminiscing about the couple’s journey together. There were family and couple pictures at all of the tables and they had wine bottles marked for anniversaries in the future; the guests armed with metallic sharpies to leave well wishes and love notes on them. The atmosphere was vibrant, especially with the lively sounds of the Lucky Devils Band filling the air, encouraging everyone to dance the night away. I cannot express the excitement I get when a couple decides to go with live music. I think it adds an incredible energy to weddings, creating unforgettable moments and encouraging everyone to dance the night away.

And as a 90s kid, one of the songs of the evening that I sang along to was the couple's first dance as husband and wife to "God Must Have Spent (A Little More Time on You)" by NSYNC. It was a joy to witness their smiles and laughter as they embraced each other on the dance floor, I’m geeking over their black and whites!

The celebration continued with joyful festivities, including a delightful ice cream cart from Sweet Scoops, adding a fun and whimsical touch to the evening. Incorporating an ice cream cart into your wedding celebration is a delightful alternative to the traditional cake cutting. This fun and whimsical option allows guests to indulge in a variety of flavors and create their own personalized sundaes, adding a playful touch to the festivities. It not only caters to diverse tastes but also encourages mingling and interaction among guests, making it a memorable experience for everyone. (And great pictures) As the night progressed, the couple's joy was infectious, and it was clear that everyone in attendance was there to celebrate their love.

Maryssa and Kyle's wedding was not just a union of two people; it was a heartfelt gathering of family and friends, filled with laughter, tears, and countless beautiful moments. As a photographer, I feel privileged to have been part of such a significant day, capturing the individual details that make their love story unique.

Congratulations, Maryssa and Kyle! Your love shines brightly, and it was an honor to document your special day with Sandra. May your journey together be filled with endless love and happiness!
