What started out as a couple shoot a friend from middle school became an impromptu engagement shoot. Her long-term boyfriend had popped the big question while lavishing her with sentimental gamer gifts a’plenty ; as such Shastina well deserves. 🙂 Not only did I enjoy trekking around some drought-defiant California scenery I have driven past my whole life, but also catching up with an old friend I hadn’t really seen in a while.
We met up in the back end of Reservation Road and continued to trek through the grassy hills. We all banked for a regular shooting session but I planned some cushion since we were old friends meeting up since forever ago. 3 hours later, and one sore right whole-freaking-leg, me and my camera bag made it through the semi-hike photo shoot. Aside from the hike hangover on my leg, it was awesome to wander through nature with some excellent company and capture some play between two soon-to-be-newlyweds.
After the shoot, she popped me with her own question; would I be her maid of honor? Of course, I was honored  *heh heh*, and said yes. World, expect me to finally be in a wedding come 2017 — after 3 years of shooting dozens of weddings. 🙂
